This study explores the formation of plural nouns for lexical borrowings in the Spanish variant spoken in the capital city of the State of Puebla (Mexico) using a questionnaire that consisted of 64 items. Based on the analysis of a dependent variable and other social and linguistic independent variables, I conclude that: i) the level of education variable is determinant only for the choice of the plural form involving the null morpheme, ii) word and speaker are the two significant variables for choosing any of the available forms to create plural nouns (ø, -s and -es), and iii) Puebla Spanish does not follow the trends of variation in the plural forms for lexical borrowings prototypically considered as hesitant.
