Resumen

MARTINEZ-HERNANDEZ, José Guadalupe et al. Diversity and seasonality of Coreidae (Hemiptera: Heteroptera) in a deciduous tropical forest in Morelos, Mexico. Rev. Mex. Biodiv. [online]. 2020, vol.91, e913244.  Epub 22-Dic-2020. ISSN 2007-8706.  https://doi.org/10.22201/ib.20078706e.2020.91.3244.

The diversity of the Coreidae family is presented in the tropical deciduous forest (BTC) of Huaxtla, Tlaquiltenango, Morelos, Mexico. Of the systematic collection carried out during an annual cycle, 32 species, 18 genera, 10 tribes, and 2 subfamilies were recorded. Two species are new records for the Sierra de Huautla Biosphere Reserve and one for the state of Morelos. The sample coverage was 98% and according to the Chao 1 wealth estimator, 78% of the species in the study area were represented. The pattern obtained in terms of greater wealth, abundance and diversity occurs during the rainy season and the arrangement of the faunal similarities between months shows a marked seasonality in the composition. The community structure reflects a high diversity, composed of a high proportion (50%) of species with low abundance. The data show that the diversity of Coreidae of the BTC is high and little known (new records), which shows the need to continue documenting it.
