Resumen
TORRES-CORRALES, Diana del Carmen y MONTIEL-ESPINOSA, Gisela.
We report an ethnographic study located in a formative space of Mechatronics Engineering; in particular, the approach to the mo ment of mathematics preliminaries in a professionalizing subject where we seek to answer the following question: what mathematical and contextual characteristics do trigonometric notions acquire, in their use, when the teacher and students approach the preliminaries to solve problems of Industrial Robotics? From a perspective that focuses attention on the practices that accompany mathematical objects, we identify the social use of four trigonometric notions as knowledge situated in the shared and functional scenario of Robotics. The role of diagrams, the permanence, and functionality of the notion of trigonometric ratio, and the absence of the linear meaning reported in the literature are the characteristics that encom pass the results obtaine.
