YPARREA-ARREOLA, Reyner Ivan et al. Mechanical design and manufacturing of automated line for washing glass bottles with water feedback. Ing. invest. y tecnol. [online]. 2025, vol.26, n.3, e2188. Epub 07-Mayo-2026. ISSN 2594-0732. https://doi.org/10.22201/fi.25940732e.2025.26.3.024.
Industrial glass bottle washing is essential for the food and beverage industries, ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of containers and maintaining the quality of the final product. However, this process consumes large amounts of water, posing significant challenges to the sustainability and conservation of water resources. The proposed system, designed, manufactured, and presented in this work, is fully automatic and can manipulate variables such as motor speed, brushing, and rinsing time. This washing line currently processes 720 bottles per hour, significantly reducing water consumption by approximately 35 %, compared to traditional methods. Advanced automation and programming technologies were also applied, with the primary objective of improving the efficiency and sustainability of the process.
