The article begins with a brief overview of the main ideas of Chapter V “La dinámica del derecho” of the book Teoría Analítica del Derecho by Jorge Rodríguez, and then critically examines some assertions that, in my opinion, are not always obvious, explicit or satisfactorily substantiated. On this basis, the article focuses in particular on: (i) showing how Rodriguez’s proposals represent an additional development or refinement of the theory of C. Alchourrón and E. Bulygin; (ii) to illustrate how his refinement is adequate in its main aspects and hardly refutable (though not impossible); and (iii) to underline how some key statements are not always accompanied by an adequate foundation. So, although Jorge gives us his view of the legal dynamic, which we can broadly share, someone is hiding in some of the details of the account. Whether she is God or the devil is up to each reader.
