RIVERO HERNANDEZ, Melesio; MORENO SANCHEZ, Enrique y PEREZ ROMAN, Mayra Patricia. Urban livability peripheral to Felipe Ángeles International Airport (FAIA): Case of Xaltocan, México. Trace (Méx. This paper focuses on the study of the conditions of urban habitability in the community of Xaltocan, State of Mexico, derived from its proximity, as of 2022, to the Felipe Ángeles International Airport (FAIA). The study considered three dimensions: physical-spatial, environmental and socio-spatial; of these, specific elements were studied to identify the functionality and qualities of the town to reproduce, maintain and create traditions, customs, identities, as well as a sense of belonging; in a regional context in which an urban scenario of uncertainty prevails with respect to the medium-term future. In performing the work one of the discoveries is that, the community has historically managed to build urban habitability and to have a robust social fabric in expectation of what is about to happen in its living space.
