Universidad Autonoma del Carmen decided to start online schooling on March 2020, bringing to the table certain topics such as students’ technology literacy, information access, among others. It is necessary to get reliable results about personal, academic, technological, and psychological situations being currently present because of the confinement due to Covid 19 pandemic.
The aim of this study is to determine the online conditions related to the academic tasks that fnc students face on a daily basis. The found vulnerabilities showed us the big picture of the students’ situation to be able to take the online classes. This vulnerable group has specific characteristics that are shown in the results of this study.
The items used to answer the research question were relevant: students’ characteristics, techonology resources, among others. The answers show that most of the students have the necessary infrastructure to take online classes. However, the vulnerable groups are still present as part of society’s reality; Such data will be of great use to new generations, the faculty and the institution as a whole.
