CRUZ GONZALEZ, Oscar  y  HERNANDEZ TREJO, Ninfa Elizabeth. Partisan position against electronic voting in the local elections of Coahuila and Hidalgo in 2020 and the Mexican electoral reform. Estud. polít. (Méx.) [online]. 2023, n.60, pp.141-156.  Epub 20-Nov-2025. ISSN 0185-1616.  https://doi.org/10.22201/fcpys.24484903e.2023.60.86874.

The objective of this paper is to reflect on the position of the political parties in Mexico in the implementation of electronic voting in the elections of Coahuila and Hidalgo in 2020, as well as in the automation of suffrage proposed in the electoral reform 2022-2023. The result is that the political parties, especially those that hold political power, continue to be the most reticent to their incorporation and this is reflected in the reform, while in test exercises for their use they generally demonstrate their support which, we maintain, is a reflection of the greater use of technologies during the Covid-19.

Palabras llave : Mexico; electronic voting; electoral reform; political parties; elections.
