TORRES DEL CASTILLO, G. F.. Variational symmetries in the Hamiltonian formalism. Rev. mex. fis. []. 2025, 71, 1, e010701.   30--2025. ISSN 0035-001X.  https://doi.org/10.31349/revmexfis.71.010701.

We consider the effect on the Hamilton equations of an arbitrary coordinate transformation in the extended configuration space, q i ' = q i ' ( q j , t ), t’ = t’(q j ,t) (which may not be canonical) and we show that when the Hamiltonian is invariant under a one-parameter family of these transformations, there is an associated nontrivial constant of motion.
