TORRES HERNANDEZ, Zacarías y MOLINA MARTINEZ, Rubén. Propuesta para fortalecer la comunicación gobierno-sociedad. Investig. adm. [online]. 2001, vol.30, n.89, 00010. Epub 10-Ene-2025. ISSN 2448-7678.
One of the worst problems the government is currently facing, is the lack of communication with its society. This stems from the government inappropriate attitude toward the media; either not observing thoroughly or as a consequence of inexistent, efficient strategies as well as a real possibility for societies initiate a better communication with their own government.
Thus, societies are not properly informed and they are affected by an unhealthy environment. Society does not trust in the media, since the seriousness and veracity of the information published about government activities is not as clear is expected. At a time, the government is suffering about credibility, and people do not believe in what it is being done to run the country.
Facing this situation, our proposal is to create a new SECRETARY for SOCIAL COMMUNICATION in THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT, organization which could help to increase communication between the government and society in México. One of the project main aims is to improve this relations, as well as the implementation of an adequate strategy to establish new communication canals, so they better know each other and the information could be trustable.
