En el inventario de japonesismos usados en el español actual, las voces de origen japonés relacionadas con la religión y la filosofía constituyen la séptima mayor área referencial -posición que comparten también con los japonesismos relativos a la vivienda-mobiliario y a la vestimenta- (4 voces de un total de 92 ítems). En el presente artículo se intenta, por primera vez en la lengua española, llevar a cabo un estudio exhaustivo de los japonesismos religioso-filosóficos, atendiendo a parámetros lingüísticos diferentes (formal, semántico e histórico), además de indicar su grado de adaptación al inventario léxico del español.

Japanese loanwords relating to religion and philosophy constitute the seventh biggest semantic field -a position that they also share with Japanese loanwords related to home-furniture and clothing- of all such words used currently in Spanish (4 words out of a total of 92). In the present article an attempt is made for the first time in Spanish to offer an exhaustive description of religious and philosophical Japanese loanwords from a formal, semantic and historical perspective. The degree to which these loanwords adapt to the Spanish lexicon is also indicated.
