The Eastern Pacific Green Turtle (Chelonia mydas), is listed as endangered and has a circumtropical distribution. Within the Gulf of California it can be found mainly in the western waters, with some sightings to the south, in the National Park of Cabo Pulmo it is rare to find it, but there have been some sightings. This is the first record of an Eastern Pacific Green Turtle feeding in Cabo Pulmo National Park, this fact has a great importance since the park, can act as a feeding and refuge area, not only for the hawksbill turtle, but also for the Eastern Pacific Green Turtle.

La tortuga verde del Pacífico oriental (Chelonia mydas), está catalogada en peligro de extinción y tiene una distribución circuntropical. Dentro del Golfo de California se puede encontrar principalmente en la región media occidental, con algunos avistamientos hacia el sur. En el Parque Nacional de Cabo Pulmo es raro encontrar a este organismo, sin embargo, han existido algunos avistamientos anecdóticos y dentro del programa de manejo del parque está incluida esta especie. En este trabajo se reporta el primer registro de una tortuga verde del Pacífico oriental alimentándose dentro del Parque Nacional Cabo Pulmo, este hecho tiene una gran importancia, puesto que el parque puede actuar como una nueva zona de alimentación y refugio, no solo para la tortuga carey, también para la tortuga verde del Pacífico oriental.
