^les^aEl artículo aborda la problemática de la Autonomía Nacional y su relación con la cultura y la identidad en el caso de la región española de Cataluña dentro del contexto de la Globalización y el proceso de integración política y económica que se viene desarrollando en la Unión Europea; así como la búsqueda de mayores espacios de representación democrática y, la búsqueda de la autodeterminación por medio de la renovación de las propuestas del federalismo plurinacional mediante la generación de reformas constitucionales e institucionales.^len^aThe article approaches the problematic of National Autonomy and its relation with the culture and identity in the case of the Spanish region of Catalonia within the context of the mundialization and the process of political and economic integration that has been developing in the European Union. It also studies the research for greater spaces of democratic representation and self-determination by means of the renovation of plurinational federalism throughout the generation of constitutional and institutional reforms.
