En este ensayo, el autor hace un breve recorrido por el libertinaje literario francés para ver de qué manera el cuerpo es representado a la luz de la separación cartesiana entre razón y cuerpo. A partir de algunos ejemplos, sobre todo de un poema del siglo XVIII, veremos cómo el cuerpo adquiere espesor interpretativo y enriquece una expresión poética considerada menor por la crítica literaria.

In this essay, the author explores the French literary Libertinage in order to observe how the human body is represented under the cartesian dualism between mind and body. Through some examples, taken mainly from a 18th century poem, we will observe how the body acquires several meanings that fortify a poetic expression that has been neglected by literary criticism.
