Este artículo explora la relación que hay entre las puntuaciones de español específicamente el componente de gramática y redacción que se obtienen mediante la aplicación del examen diagnóstico al iniciar la educación superior con el desempeño escolar a lo largo de los dos primeros años y al finalizar la licenciatura (tiempo curricular) de la generación 2010 en la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). Para probar esta asociación se aplicó un modelo de regresión logística multivariado. Los resultados revelaron que, a mayor puntuación obtenida en el componente de gramática y redacción, mejor es el desempeño escolar durante la licenciatura y también mayor eficiencia terminal.

This article explores the relationship between the scores of Spanish -specifically the component of grammar and writing- obtained through the application of the diagnostic test at the beginning of the Higher Education with school performance over the first two years and at the end of the bachelor’s degree (curriculum time) of the generation 2010 at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). To test this association a multivariate logistic regression model is applied. The results revealed that the higher the score in grammar and writing, the better school performance during the bachelor’s degree and also greater terminal efficiency.
