^les^aEste artículo examina los aspectos ideológicos involucrados en las teorías psicológicas cuando se aplican a la educación especial, en particular en el caso de los niños sordos. En primer lugar, se considera la problemática de la diversidad de interpretaciones de la ideología. Luego se analizan dos perspectivas, una negativa, que incluye la falsa conciencia y la violencia simbólica; otra positiva en los términos de utopía. En todos los casos, se estudia el modo en que las teorías psicológicas de la inteligencia o el aprendizaje vehiculan los significados sociales.^len^aThis article deals with the ideological aspects which are involved in the psychological theories when those are applied to special education, particularly in the case of deaf children. In the first place, the author takes into consideration the problem that represents the diversity of interpretations about ideology Two perspectives are analysed: on one hand, a negative perspective that includes the false consciousness and the symbolic violence; on the other hand, a positive one in terms of Utopia. In both cases, the author analyses the ways in which the psychological theories about intelligence or learning convey social meanings.
