La presente investigación tiene por finalidad analizar someramente algunos aspectos relevantes que caracterizan al fenómeno de la prostitución, sus causas, sus efectos y su posible regulación jurídica. Sin pretender constituir un análisis exhaustivo de su historia, se presenta este tema, contextualizándolo, con el fin de motivar la investigación jurídica del mismo. La escasa regulación jurídica de la prostitución, así como de las investigaciones académicas en relación con la misma, contribuyen aún más a ampliar el velo o nebulosa que se erige en torno a ella.

This research aims to examine, albeit briefly, some important aspects that characterize the phenomenon of prostitution, its causes, effects and possible legal regulation. Without wishing to be a comprehensive analysis of their history, this topic is presented, contextualizing, in order to motivate the same legal research. The little legal regulation of prostitution, as well as academic research in relation to it, further contribute to extend the veil or nebula that is built around it.
