A nivel estético, este personaje resaltaba por la ambigüedad de su fluctuación entre sexualidad e inocencia, y a nivel moral, sus acciones estaban marcadas por la transgresión. Actualmente, es un icono que conserva su imagen corporal distintiva, al tiempo que sus acciones morales se han purificado para favorecer su consumo masivo. Desde la perspectiva del giro icónico en sociología cultural, se propone que esta reinterpretación comercial celebra la rebeldía estética, pero &#8220;exorciza&#8221; la moral. Esto aplica en especial al involucramiento femenino en relaciones de noviazgo que presentan situaciones de violencia. Se concluye que el reprocesamiento narrativo de la densidad moral de Quinn tiene como consecuencias el desdibujamiento de la capacidad de agencia del personaje y el reforzamiento de estereotipos de pasividad femenina.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract: The article analyzes the way Harley Quinn, a popular comic book villain, has undergone a transformation of her iconicity. Aesthetically, Quinn used to emphasize the ambiguity of innocence and sexuality and, on a moral level, she was defined by transgression. However, she is currently an icon that retains her distinctive body image, while she has been morally purified for her mass consumption. From the perspective of the iconic turn in cultural sociology, it is proposed that this commercial reinterpretation celebrates aesthetic rebellion, but it "exorcises" morality, especially with regard to female involvement in personal relationships in which situations of violence occur. It is concluded that reprocessing the narrative around the moral density of Quinn has as consequences the blurring of the capacity of agency of the character and the reinforcement of stereotypes of feminine passivity.]]></p></abstract>
