Durante el ciclo agrícola 2022 se muestrearon nueve parcelas en tres localidades: La Ciénega, El Aserradero e Ixcateopan. En cada parcela se registró el número de individuos por unidad de superficie (densidad en m2) y cobertura de las arvenses utilizando cuadros de 1 m2. Se estimó el esfuerzo de muestreo, la abundancia, diversidad alfa (Shannon-Wiener -H&#8217;-, Simpson y el número efectivo de especies -riqueza = N0, especies abundantes = N1 y especies muy abundantes = N2) y la beta (Whittaker y Jaccard), además del Índice de Valor de Importancia (IVI). Se registraron 127 especies correspondientes a 95 géneros y 32 familias; de estas últimas, las que presentaron mayor riqueza son la Asteraceae (32 spp.), Poaceae (16 spp.) y Fabaceae (13 spp.); asimismo el 87.40% son nativas (11.82% endémicas) y 12.50% introducidas; además, el 80.31% son Eudicotiledóneas, 18.11% Monocotiledóneas y 1.58 Pteridophytas. La forma de vida prevaleciente es la herbácea anual (53.50%), seguida de las herbáceas perennes (25.98%), arbustivas (18.9%) y arbóreas (1.57%). La diversidad registrada (H&#8217; = 3.8) es mayor comparada con lo reportado en otras regiones. Las especies con mayor IVI fueron Stevia tomentosa Kunth (IVI = 4.16) y Persicaria nepalensis (Meins) Miyabe (IVI = 3.74). La similitud florística es baja entre localidades con valores de 0.02 a 0.06.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract: The objective of this research was to analyze the structure of the weed community in rainfed maize crops in the Montaña region of Guerrero. During the 2022 agricultural cycle, nine plots were sampled in three locations: La Ciénega, El Aserradero, and Ixcateopan. In each plot, the number of individuals per unit area (density in m2) and weed coverage were recorded using 1 m2 quadrats. Sampling effort, abundance, alpha diversity (Shannon-Wiener -H'-, Simpson, and the effective number of species: richness = N0, abundant species = N1, and highly abundant species = N2), and beta diversity (Whittaker and Jaccard) were estimated, along with the Importance Value Index (IVI). A total of 127 species were recorded, corresponding to 95 genera and 32 families. Among these, the families with the greatest species richness were Asteraceae (32 spp.), Poaceae (16 spp.), and Fabaceae (13 spp.). Of the total species, 87.40 % are native (of which 11.82% are endemic) and 12.50% introduced; additionally, 80.31% are Eudicots, 18.11 % Monocots, and 1.58% Pteridophytes. The prevailing life form is annual herbaceous plants (53.50%), followed by perennial herbaceous plants (25.98%), shrubs (18.9 %), and trees (1.57%). The recorded diversity (H' = 3.8) is higher compared to reports from other regions. The species with the highest IVI were Stevia tomentosa Kunth (IVI = 4.16) and Persicaria nepalensis (Meins) Miyabe (IVI = 3.74). Floristic similarity between locations was low, with values ranging from 0.02 to 0.06.]]></p></abstract>
