Sin embargo, en ocasiones se producen cambios transformativos, que si bien retienen la esencia neoliberal, agregan objetivos e instrumentos propios de otras doctrinas. Para analizar este fenómeno, este artículo propone el concepto de hibridación neoliberal, que hace referencia a la incorporación de principios ajenos al neoliberalismo en políticas donde perdura este legado. El concepto se desarrolla a través del estudio del caso de la reforma de la política eléctrica en Chile conocida como &#8220;Agenda de Energía&#8221;. Mediante un process tracing deductivo, basado en una revisión de fuentes de prensa y oficiales, así como veinte entrevistas a actores clave, se establece que la emergencia de nuevas ideas en el sector fue el factor necesario y las características del equipo ministerial de turno el factor suficiente para que se produjera la hibridación neoliberal de la política eléctrica.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract: Neoliberal policies are characterized by their plasticity, an attribute that makes them particularly prone to adaptive changes. However sometimes transformative changes occur, when instruments and goals from other doctrines are added, while the neoliberal essence endures. To analyze this phenomenon, this article proposes the concept of neoliberal hybridization, which refers to the incorporation of principles alien to neoliberalism in policies where this legacy lasts. The concept is developed through a case study of the recent reform of the electricity policy in Chile known as &#8220;Energy Agenda&#8221;. Through a deductive process tracing, based on press review and official sources, as well as twenty interviews, it is established that the emergence of new ideas in the sector and the characteristics of the ministerial team were the main drivers for the neoliberal hybridization of the electric policy.]]></p></abstract>
