Además, se busca identificar los parámetros magnéticos que presenten una relación directa con la concentración de elementos, con el propósito de usarse como monitores indirectos de contaminación. Los valores de concentración de fondo total se obtuvieron de 58 muestras de suelo de tipo residencial para cromo (Cr), cobre (Cu), níquel (Ni), plomo (Pb), vanadio (V) y zinc (Zn), con valores de 13, 18, 10, 26, 36 y 269 mg/kg, respectivamente. Los parámetros magnéticos de susceptibilidad magnética y magnetización remanente isotermal de saturación mostraron correspondencia con la concentración de elementos, por lo tanto es factible su uso como monitores de acumulación de metales pesados y para la identificación de sitios contaminados. Los suelos urbanos de Guadalajara presentan un contenido de elementos que disminuye en el siguiente orden: Zn &gt; V &gt; Pb &gt; Cu &gt; Cr &gt; Ni. Las mayores concentraciones de elementos se presentan en sitios de la zona centro y noroeste de Guadalajara, áreas densamente pobladas, por lo que se requieren vigilancia y estudios adicionales para evaluar el riesgo.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT The objective of this research was to identify the content of elements and magnetic properties of urban soil in the city of Guadalajara, in order to establish a reference concentration value that would enable the assessment of element enrichment in urban soil. Additionally, it aims to identify the magnetic parameters related to the concentration of elements, with the purpose of using them as indirect pollution monitors. The total background concentration values were obtained from 58 residential soil samples for chromium (Cr), copper (Cu), nickel (Ni), lead (Pb), vanadium (V), and zinc (Zn), with values of 13, 18, 10, 26, 36, and 269 mg/kg, respectively. The magnetic parameters of magnetic susceptibility and saturation isothermal remanent magnetization demonstrate a correlation with the concentration of elements, making them suitable for use as monitors of heavy metal accumulation and the identification of contaminated sites. The urban soils of Guadalajara exhibit a decreasing order of element content, with Zn &gt; V &gt; Pb &gt; Cu &gt; Cr &gt; Ni. The highest concentrations of elements are observed in sites in the central and northwest regions of Guadalajara, particularly in densely populated areas, which pose a risk to the population that requires surveillance and further study.]]></p></abstract>
