Rose, permitieron determinar los efectos de la fertilización mineral (20-20-20 y 12-12-17 + 2 Mg) combinada con la fertilización biológica [Glomus mosseae (Gm) y Glomus intraradices (Gi)] en el desarrollo y calidad comercial de los tallos producidos. El uso de dosis mayores de NPK afectó significativamente la acumulación de materia seca, la longitud del tallo, el desarrollo de área foliar, y el índice de calidad general de los tallos. No obstante, la determinación de la clasificación comercial de la Sociedad Americana de Floristas (ASF) indicó que el uso de ambas dosis de fertilización mineral promovió la cosecha de tallos con similar calidad comercial. La incorporación de ambos hongos micorrízicos arbusculares (HMA) al esquema de manejo nutrimental reflejó incrementos en varios de las variables de desarrollo antes referidas, sin embargo, el mayor y más importante impacto estuvo reflejado en la calidad comercial obtenida. La incorporación de Gm combinado con 20-20-20 propició de manera altamente significativa que 100% de los tallos cosechados tuvieran las calidades especial y sofisticada (92 y 8%, respectivamente), las mas altas dentro de la clasificación comercial SAF para esta especie. Reducciones en la adición de NPK combinadas con cualquiera de los HMA utilizados, propiciaron calidades comerciales por debajo de las obtenidas con 20-20-20 + Gm, mientras que el uso de las dosis comerciales de fertilización recomendadas para A. majus parecieran requerir de una reevaluación. La incorporación de HMA en combinación con las dosis recomendadas para A. majus (20-20-20+Gm) promovió incrementos en la calidad comercial de los tallos obtenidos de acuerdo con los estándares establecidos para su clasificación y oferta comercial.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT Effects of mineral fertilization (20-20-20 and 12-12- 17 + 2 Mg) combined with colonization of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (Glomus intraradices and Glomus mosseae) were determined on cut snapdragon (Antirrhinum majus L.). Growth and commercial quality of cv. Rose series Potomac group IV was evaluated under greenhouse conditions. Two evaluation criteria were implemented: a) growth and developmental traits, and b) American Society of Florist commercial (ASF) standards. Our studies indicated that higher N-P-K additions significantly increased dry matter accumulation, stem length, leaf area and quality index. However, determination of ASF commercial classification standards showed that similar quality was obtained with both fertilization programs. The addition of arbuscular micorrizical fungi to both mineral fertilization regimes promoted an overall increase in growth and developmental traits. Moreover, when ASF standards were determined, 100% of the flowering stems produced by 20-20-20 + Gm, obtained special and sophisticated classification (92 and 8% respectively), the highest categories conferred by ASF standards to cut snapdragon stems. Reductions in the addition of NPK combined with any of the HMA used, led to commercial grades below those obtained with 20-20-20 + Gm, while the use of commercial fertilizer doses recommended for A. majus seem to require a reassessment. The addition of HMA in combination with the recommended doses for A. majus (20-20-20 + Gm) promoted increases in the commercial quality of the stems produced in accordance with established standards for classification and commercial supply.]]></p></abstract>
