Los analiza, principalmente en referencia a los estudiantes vulnerables, con base en el caso de las Universidades Politécnicas (UP). Expone las acciones sectoriales institucionales destinadas a favorecer su permanencia y titulación. Estudia la batería de intervenciones que las UP han aplicado para remover las barreras académicas, culturales, psicológicas y económicas a las que están confrontados los alumnos de primera generación y/o en desventaja, que limitan sus oportunidades de finalización de estudios.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract The article builds the object of study (retention and academic success) by reviewing the contributions of specialists, international and national. It analyzes them, mainly about vulnerable students, based on the case of Polytechnic Universities (UP). It describes the institutional sectoral actions aimed at promoting their permanence and certification. It studies the battery of interventions that the ups have applied to remove academic, cultural, psychological, and economic barriers faced by first-generation and disadvantaged students, which limit their chances of completing their studies.]]></p></abstract>
