En ambos casos se tiene como reto principal la identificación de las estructuras anatómicas de manera eficiente, lo cual depende de factores como las posibles variantes anatómicas innatas del paciente, así como la modificación de la anatomía por el proceso inflamatorio de la patología, e incluso por procesos nosológicos previos; por lo que es menester del médico, el tener conocimiento de dichos rubros para poder diagnosticar y realizar de manera oportuna la resolución quirúrgica. En este caso clínico se presenta un paciente del sexo masculino, de 61 años, sin patologías o cirugías previas, con diagnóstico oportuno de colecistitis aguda quien durante el procedimiento quirúrgico y cuidados posoperatorios presentó una evolución favorable, lo cual se otorgó como pronóstico durante el periodo perioperatorio, ya que las acciones encaminadas a su tratamiento fueron las adecuadas. Es de suma importancia tener en cuenta que existen características y variantes morfológicas, lo cual puede modificar la técnica quirúrgica con la intención de alcanzar la visión crítica pertinente de las estructuras anatómicas para lograr la máxima seguridad en el procedimiento quirúrgico. El médico en formación está obligado de adquirir conocimientos, competencias y habilidades quirúrgicas básicas, por lo que la misión de este caso clínico es confrontarnos a una visión más certera del campo quirúrgico y así poder tener una mayor comprensión tanto de la anatomía como de la patología per se y su tratamiento a través de esta técnica quirúrgica. De tal forma que los médicos generales que decidan especializarse en el ámbito de la cirugía general puedan obtener un conocimiento inicial sobre la anatomía quirúrgica en esta patología.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract Cholecystectomy is a common surgical procedure, either with traditional open or minimally invasive techniques. In both cases the main challenge is the identification of the anatomical structures in an efficient manner, which depends on factors such as the possible innate anatomical variants of the patient, as well as the modification of the anatomy by the inflammatory process of the pathology, and even by previous nosological processes; which is essential for the doctor to have knowledge of these items to be able to diagnose and perform the surgical resolution in a timely manner. This clinical case is about a 61 year old male patient, with no previous pathologies or surgeries, with a timely diagnosis of acute cholecystitis who during the surgical procedure and postoperative care presented a favorable evolution, which was granted as a prognosis during the perioperative period since the actions aimed at his treatment were adequate. It is of utmost importance to take into account that there are morphological characteristics and variants, which can modify the surgical technique with the intention of reaching the pertinent critical vision of the anatomical structures in order to achieve maximum safety in the surgical procedure. The doctor in training is obliged to acquire knowledge, competences and basic surgical skills, so the mission of this clinical case is to confront us to a more accurate vision of the surgical field and thus be able to have a better understanding of both the anatomy and the pathology per se and its treatment through this surgical technique. In such a way that general practitioners who decide to specialize in the field of general surgery can obtain an initial knowledge of the surgical anatomy in this pathology.]]></p></abstract>
