Objetivo:  caracterizar la micobiota en los murciélagos que comparten la distribución con las especies susceptibles de ser parasitados por P. destructans.  Métodos:  se realizaron muestreos de murciélagos en San Luis Potosí y Jalisco. Se tomaron muestras de rostro y alas, que se sembraron en agar rosa Bengala cloranfenicol. Se purificaron en papa dextrosa agar e identificaron a nivel de género, cuando fue posible a especie con base en la morfología y micromorfología. Los murciélagos se identificaron hasta especie.  Resultados y conclusiones:  los resultados mostraron una alta diversidad fúngica identificándose 32 géneros, donde Acremonium, Aspergillus, Cladosporium, Penicillium y Scopulariopsis, se observaron en las 17 especies de murciélagos. Se documentó la presencia de Pseudogymnoascus pannorum, pero no de P. destructans.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract  Background:  White-nose syndrome caused by Pseudogymnoascus destructans has dramatically decreased bat populations in Canada and the United States of America; it has not been detected in México.  Objective:  Characterize the mycobiota in bats that share distribution with organisms susceptible to being parasitized by P. destructans.  Methods:  Bat sampling was carried out in San Luis Potosí and Jalisco. Samples were taken from snout and wings, and cultivated on Rose-Bengal chloramphenicol agar. Samples were purified on potato dextrose agar and identified at the genus level and, when possible, at the species level based on morphology and micromorphology. Bats were identified at the species level.  Results and conclusions:  The results showed a high fungal diversity, where 32 fungi genera were identified. Acremonium, Aspergillus, Cladosporium, Penicillium, and Scopulariopsis were detected in the 17 bat species. Pseudogymnoascus pannorum was documented, but not P. destructans.]]></p></abstract>
