Se propone un Índice Relativo de Movilidad Vehicular (IRMV) para cuantificar la influencia de las restricciones de acceso a Estados Unidos sobre las emisiones vehiculares en ambos puertos, las cuales se estiman con el método propuesto por el Panel Intergubernamental de Cambio Climático (IPCC), de donde se obtiene que fueron mayores en 2019. El IRMV muestra que durante mayo-agosto de 2020 y octubre-diciembre del mismo año, se reduce el impacto de las medidas implementadas, en tanto que en mayo-junio y noviembre-diciembre, respectivamente, se alcanzan los niveles máximos de casos COVID-19 y de emisiones.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract The behavior of vehicular carbon dioxide emissions in two border ports of Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico, before and during the incidence of COVID-19 in the period 2019-2020, is analyzed. A Relative Vehicle Mobility Index (IRMV) is proposed to quantify the influence of access restrictions to the United States on vehicle emissions in both ports. These are estimated with the method proposed by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), obtaining that in 2019 they were higher. The IRMV shows that during May-August 2020 and October-December of the same year, the impact of the implemented measures is reduced, because in May-June and November-December, the maximum levels of COVID-19 and emissions are reached.]]></p></abstract>
