Su objetivo es identificar los elementos que integran las fases por las que han atravesado las universidades en las últimas tres décadas. Mediante una metodología cualitativa con un método descriptivo analítico, se postulan los principales factores inherentes a los procesos de cambio de donde surgen tres supuestos basados en el isomorfismo institucional como un imaginario, y que entrecruzan los procesos, rituales y rutinas generadas en los espacios universitarios en su relación con el Estado.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="pt"><p><![CDATA[Resumo Este ensaio aborda três momentos da modernização do ensino superior no México a partir de uma perspectiva de mudança institucional e políticas públicas. Seu objetivo é identificar os elementos que compõem as fases pelas quais as universidades passaram nas últimas três décadas. Por meio de uma metodologia qualitativa com método analítico descritivo, postulam-se os principais fatores inerentes aos processos de mudança, dos quais surgem três pressupostos baseados no isomorfismo institucional como imaginário, e que se cruzam entre os processos, rituais e rotinas gerados nos espaços universitários em sua relação com o Estado.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract This article focuses on three moments in the modernization of higher education in Mexico from the perspective of institutional change and public policies. Its purpose is to identify the elements that make up the phases through which universities have gone through in the last three decades. Using a qualitative methodology with an analytical descriptive method, the authors present the main factors inherent to the processes of change; on this basis, they formulate three assumptions based on institutional isomorphism as an imaginary, which intertwine the processes, rituals and routines generated in the university spaces in their relationship with the State.]]></p></abstract>
