Para ello, se diseñó un índice de transparencia activa (ITA) y se analizó la existencia de diferencias estadísticamente significativas entre universidades oficiales y privadas por medio de pruebas no paramétricas. Los resultados muestran que existe un grado de acceso &#8220;bajo&#8221; a la información y que ésta se limita a datos básicos de las instituciones, dejando de lado información de sus procedimientos y, en especial, sobre asuntos financieros y de control. No obstante, los resultados son superiores en las universidades oficiales, lo que conlleva a la existencia de diferencias estadísticamente significativas entre unas y otras, por lo que el origen institucional marca una diferencia al momento de divulgar la información.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="pt"><p><![CDATA[Resumo: No estudo se avaliou o grau de transparência ativa das universidades colombianas e se determinou a influência que a origem institucional tem em suas práticas de acesso à informação. Para isso, se desenhou um índice de transparência ativa (ITA) e se analisou a existência de diferenças estatisticamente significativas entre universidades oficiais e privadas por meio de provas não paramétricas. Os resultados mostram que existe um grau de acesso &#8220;baixo&#8221; à informação e que esta se limita a dados básicos das instituições, deixando de lado informações de seus procedimentos e, em especial, sobre assuntos financeiros e de controle. Não obstante, os resultados são superiores nas universidades oficiais, o que leva à existência de diferenças estatisticamente significativas entre umas e outras, portanto a origem institucional marca uma diferença no momento de divulgar a informação.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract: The study evaluated the scale of active transparency of Colombian universities and determined the influence of the institutional origin on their access to information practices. For this purpose, an active transparency index (ITA) was designed and the existence of statistically significant differences between official and private universities was analyzed by means of nonparametric tests. The results show that there is a &#8220;low&#8221; degree of access to the information and that it is limited to basic data of the institutions, leaving aside information on their procedures and, especially, on financial and control matters. However, the results are higher in official universities, which leads to statistically significant differences between them, so that the institutional origin makes a difference when it comes to making public the information.]]></p></abstract>
