La fijación intramedular de las fracturas de las falanges proximales es actualmente muy atractiva. Sin embargo, el daño condral sigue siendo motivo de preocupación; el objetivo de este estudio es medir el defecto condral después de la fijación intramedular con diferentes técnicas y tornillos.  Material y métodos:  Se realizó un estudio transversal, experimental y analítico, incluyendo nueve cadáveres. Se fracturó la falange proximal desde el dedo índice hasta el meñique de ambas manos, se colocaron en total 96 tornillos combinando con diferentes técnicas, se utilizaron tornillos de 2.4 y 1.8 mm.  Resultados:  Tornillos de mayor diámetro causaron mayor daño condral, 6.84 vs 11.96% con los tornillos de 1.8 y 2.4 mm respectivamente. La técnica transarticular causa mayor daño condral en comparación con la técnica intraarticular, ya sea con la colocación de un solo tornillo (p = 0.00) o de ambos tornillos (p = 0.0018).  Conclusiones:  La colocación de tornillos intramedulares mediante la técnica intraarticular parece producir menos daño condral. El daño se puede minimizar utilizando la técnica de &#8220;palanca y lugar&#8221; descrita en nuestro artículo.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract:  Introduction:  Phalanx fractures (FP) are the second most common fractures in the upper limb after distal radius fractures (DRF). Intramedullary fixation of proximal phalangeal fractures is currently very attractive. However, chondral Damage remains a concern; The objective of this study is to measure the chondral defect after intramedullary fixation with different techniques and screws.  Material and methods:  A cross-sectional, experimental, and analytical study was carried out, including nine corpses. The proximal phalanx was fractured from the index finger to the little finger of both hands; a total of 96 screws were placed, combining different techniques, and 2.4 mm and 1.8 mm screws were used.  Results:  Larger diameter screws caused more significant chondral Damage, 6.84 vs 11.96% with 1.8 and 2.4 mm screws, respectively. The trans-articular technique causes more significant chondral Damage compared to the intra-articular technique, whether with the placement of a single screw (p = 0.00) or both screws (p = 0.0018).  Conclusions:  The placement of intramedullary screws using the intra-articular technique seems to produce less chondral Damage. Damage can be minimized using the &#8220;lever and place&#8221; technique described in our article.]]></p></abstract>
