Clínicamente, el pabellón auricular se caracteriza por presentar una apariencia prominente en su porción anterosuperior debida a una inversión en la forma de la concha cavum, la cual se presenta de forma convexa, produciendo verticalización y estrechamiento del conducto auditivo externo. Se realizó un análisis retrospectivo de los registros clínicos y fotográficos de los pacientes atendidos en la Clínica de Reconstrucción Auricular del Hospital General &#8220;Dr. Manuel Gea González&#8221; entre junio de 2012 y diciembre de 2017; de los 616, sólo cuatro pacientes cumplieron los criterios clínicos de inclusión para oreja de Mozart, con una prevalencia de 0.6%. Las intervenciones quirúrgicas se centran sobre todo en la corrección de la concha convexa; sin embargo, el procedimiento debe adaptarse a la gravedad de la deformidad y los deseos del paciente.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract Mozart ear is a rare auricular deformity; clinically, the auricle is characterized by the bulging appearance of the anterosuperior portion of the auricle due to fusion of the crura of the antihelix, an inversion in the normal form of the cavum conchae resulting in its convexity and a slit-like narrowing of the orifice of the external auditory meatus. A retrospective review of the clinical and photographic records of patients treated at the ear reconstruction clinic of our hospital between June 2012 and December 2017 was performed; out of 616 consecutive patients, only four fulfilled the inclusion criteria, with a prevalence of 0.6%. The authors present these patients. Surgical interventions mainly focus on the correction of the convex shell; however, the procedure should be tailored to the severity of the deformity and the wishes of the patient.]]></p></abstract>
