Las investigaciones que se han realizado en torno a este tema han abordado el fenómeno desde diferentes perspectivas y en diferentes poblaciones. El propósito de este estudio se centra en analizar la ansiedad de los estudiantes de un telebachillerato hacia las matemáticas a partir de las dimensiones de la escala RMARS. Para este estudio fueron encuestados 200 alumnos de un telebachillerato en el turno vespertino en la comunidad de Jamapa en Veracruz. La matriz de datos mostro una fiabilidad de &#945;: 0.945 (25 ítems) y &#945;: 0.936 (agrupada por 3 dimensiones), además de comprobar el supuesto de normalidad multivariante mediante la prueba K-S, lo que justifico la técnica del análisis factorial exploratorio con extracción de componentes. El resultado muestra que hay una estructura de variables que subyace en el fenómeno de la ansiedad y que el modelo se integra de cuatro factores y no de tres como señalan los autores seminales de la escala. En cuanto al género no se logró demostrar que existiesen diferencias significativas.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ Abstract Research about student&#8217;s anxiety towards mathematics has become recurrent in academic discourse since it affects student performance. Studies about this topic have shown results that have contributed to the redesign of the curricula of mathematics in different populations and institutions. The aim of this study is to analyze anxiety towards mathematics in a telebachillerato students with the dimensions of the RMARS scale. 200 students of a telebachillerato were interviewed in the community of Jamapa in Veracruz. The data matrix showed a reliability of &#945;: 0.945 (25 items) and &#945;: 0.936 (grouped by 3 dimensions). The assumption of multivariate normality was proved with the K-S test, which justified the technique of exploratory factor analysis with extraction of components. The result shows that there is a structure of variables that underlies the phenomenon of anxiety and that the model is integrated by four factors and not by three as the authors of the scale indicated. Regarding gender, it was not possible to demonstrate significant differences.]]></p></abstract>
