En un análisis retrospectivo (2019-2021), se analizaron 415 registros reproductivos de hembras caprinas (Saanen-Alpina) con (n = 314; H-CON) o sin (n = 101; H-SIN) experiencia sexual para determinar si la bioestimulación sexual periconcepcional promueve una concepción anticipada después de la introducción de machos fértiles, aumenta la proporción de hembras gestantes en el primer ciclo reproductivo, e incrementa la eficiencia reproductiva. Previo al empadre, las hembras fueron (n = 292; H-EM) o no (n = 123; H-NEM) estimuladas con machos vasectomizados por 21 d y posteriormente empadradas con machos fértiles en monta natural por 42 d. H-NEM y H-SIN (P &#8804; 0.001) quedaron gestantes más rápidamente (10 d) que H-CON (13 d) y H-EM (16 d). Una alta proporción de H-NEM (95 %) y H-EM (72 %) anticiparon la concepción a su primer ciclo reproductivo (P &#8804; 0.001). El peso al inicio del empadre, o experiencia no influyo el ciclo de concepción (P &#8804; 0.05). La tasa de fertilidad estuvo influenciada por la experiencia sexual (H-CON: 96 % vs H-SIN: 53 %) y el peso al inicio del empadre (P &#8804; 0.001), pero no por el efecto de la bioestimulación (P &#8805; 0.05). La tasa reproductiva (número de fetos por cada 100 hembras expuestas a machos fértiles) no estuvo influenciada por la bioestimulación (H-EM: 130 % vs H-NEM: 157 %; P &#8804; 0.05), experiencia sexual (H-CON: 157 % vs H-SIN: 79 %), y el peso al inicio del empadre (P &#8804; 0.001). Se concluye que la experiencia sexual y las hembras más pesadas al momento del empadre fueron más fértiles y prolíficas. La bioestimulación sexual periconcepcional promueve una concepción anticipada.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract The male effect induces reproductive activity in female goats; however, it is not known whether it accelerates conception time and increases reproductive efficiency. In a retrospective analysis (2019-2021), 415 reproductive records of female goats (Saanen-Alpine) with (n = 314; H-CON) or without (n = 101; H-SIN) sexual experience were analyzed to determine whether periconceptional sexual biostimulation promotes earlier conception after the introduction of fertile males; the results showed an increase in the proportion of pregnant females in the first reproductive cycle, as well as in the reproductive efficiency.
