<self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&amp;pid=S1405-33222017000300611&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&amp;pid=S1405-33222017000300611&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_pdf&amp;pid=S1405-33222017000300611&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen En el cortejo de cuencas intracratónicas de Chihuahua y Sabinas, los yacimientos estratoligados de cobre se encuentran sistemáticamente alojados en rocas siliciclásticas de las formaciones Las Vigas, San Marcos y Huizachal. Los yacimientos del área de Las Vigas, Chihuahua, se alojan en la cima de la Formación Las Vigas del Valanginiano-Hauteriviano, sobreyacida de forma concordante por yesos y calizas de la Formación La Virgen del Barremiano. Otras evaporitas a nivel local son las contenidas en la Formación La Casita, de edad Jurásica. El yacimiento de cobre estratoligado de Las Vigas fue explotado con leyes de 2 a 4 % Cu con ocasionales valores de 1 g/t Au y 80 a 100 g/t Ag, en 4 mantos con potencias entre 1 y 4 m. Los minerales metálicos hipogénicos en el yacimiento son calcopirita, bornita, pirita, esfalerita y galena, junto con cuarzo y calcita, y se encuentra mayoritariamente como diseminaciones. Notablemente, parte de las mineralizaciones se encuentra reemplazando troncos de árboles fósiles (de tamaño métrico) con la misma mineralogía que los mantos. El examen detallado de troncos fósiles enfatiza el carácter epigenético y estratoligado de las mineralizaciones cupríferas. Se caracterizaron asociaciones de inclusiones fluidas representativas en calcita y cuarzo procedentes de mantos, lentes y troncos fósiles. Éstas contienen cristales hijos de halita, calcita y calcopirita, caracterizados mediante microespectroscopía Raman. La salinidad calculada de los fluidos mineralizantes varía entre 16.6 y 32.0 wt. % NaCl equiv., las temperaturas de homogeneización entre 104o y 205 oC, y se determinaron contenidos importantes en N2, CO, CO2 y CH4. Los valores de &#948;34S obtenidos en calcopirita varían entre -12.0 y 13.7 &#8240;. Estos valores son compatibles con fuentes sedimentarias o metasedimentarias para el azufre, con una componente importante de lixiviación de sulfatos de evaporitas, además de procesos de sulfatorreducción bacteriogénica o la interacción de los fluidos mineralizantes con materia orgánica. Los valores de &#948;13 y &#948;18OVSMOW obtenidos en calcita hidrotermal varían entre -7.96 y -0.71 &#8240; y entre 22.38 y 26.39 &#8240;, respectivamente; éstos son compatibles con una tendencia de diagénesis por sepultamiento a partir de sedimentos marinos, como en el caso de los depósitos tipo MVT en Coahuila y Texas. Los datos presentados indican que los fluidos mineralizantes en Las Vigas son salmueras de cuenca con escaso aporte meteórico, que experimentaron convección en el interior de la serie siliciclástica por diferencias de densidad al disolver evaporitas de la Formación La Virgen. La abundancia de materia orgánica en la Formación Las Vigas pudo facilitar la precipitación mineral por medio de reducción del sulfato -la presencia de mineralización de Cu junto con silicificación en troncos de árbol fósiles apoya dicha interpretación. Por todo ello, se adscribe el yacimiento de Las Vigas genéricamente al conjunto de depósitos cupríferos epigenéticos en series de lechos rojos en los márgenes de cuencas marinas, o depósitos tipo Kupferschiefer.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract In the tract of the Chihuahua and Sabina intracratonic basins, stratabound copper deposits are systematically hosted by siliciclastic rocks of the Las Vigas, San Marcos and Huizachal formations. The deposits in the Las Vigas area, Chihuahua, occur in the upper part of the Valanginian-Hauterivian Las Vigas Formation, which is conformably overlain by gypsum and limestones of the Barremian La Virgen Formation. Other local evaporites are those found in the Jurassic La Casita Formation. The Las Vigas stratabound copper deposit was mined with grades between 2 and 4 % Cu and occasional grades of 1 g/t Au and 80 to 100 g/t Ag in four 1 to 4 m-thick mantos. The hypogene metallic minerals in this deposit are chalcopyrite, bornite, pyrite, sphalerite and galena, along with quartz and calcite, mostly as disseminations. Notably, part of these ores occurs as replacements of fossil tree logs (m-sized) that contain the same minerals as mantos. The close examination of fossil tree logs emphasizes the epigenetic and stratabound character of copper ores. Representative fluid inclusion associations were studied in calcite and quartz from mantos, lenses and fossil logs. Fluid inclusions contain halite, calcite and chalcopyrite daughter crystals, as determined by means of Raman microspectroscopy. The calculated salinity of mineralizing fluids ranges between 16.6 and 32.0 wt. % NaCl equiv., temperatures of homogenization range between 104o and 205 oC, and relevant N 2 , CO, &#119862;&#119874; 2 and &#119862;&#119867; 4 contents were determined. &#916;34SVCDT values in chalcopyrite range between -12.0 and 13.7 &#8240;. These values are compatible with sedimentary or metasedimentary sources for sulfur, significant amounts of sulfates that were leached from evaporites, besides the occurrence of bacteriogenic sulfate reduction processes orthe interaction of mineralizing fluids with organic matter. &#948;13CVPDB and &#948;18OVSMOW values in hydrothermal calcite range between -7.96 and -0.71 &#8240; and between 22.38 and 26.39 &#8240;, respectively; these are compatible with a trend in diagenesis due to burial of marine sediments, much alike MVT deposits in Coahuila and Texas. The above data indicate that mineralizing fluids in Las Vigas are basinal brines with minor meteoric inputs, which underwent convection within the siliciclastic series by means of differences in density as they dissolved evaporites of the overlying La Virgen Formation. Abundant organic matter in the Las Vigas Formation would have enabled mineral precipitation by means of sulfate reduction -such interpretation is supported by the occurrence of Cu ores along with silicification in fossil tree logs. As a consequence, the Las Vigas deposit is generically ascribed to the group of epigenetic copper deposits hosted by red-bed series that rim marine basins, or deposits of the Kupferschiefer type.]]></p></abstract>
