Mill.) variedad Milpa Alta, se recolectaron muestras de suelo y de cladodios en cuatro Unidades de Producción Familiar (UPF) en Milpa Alta, Ciudad de México. Para determinar la relación entre los resultados del análisis proximal (proteína, extracto etéreo, cenizas, fibra dietética y carbohidratos) de los cladodios y las condiciones edáficas de las UPF evaluadas, se realizó un análisis multivariado por componentes principales (CP); además de un análisis de correlación de Spearman (P &lt;0.05) y un modelo de ecuaciones estructurales (MEE). El análisis físico y químico de los suelos indicó una textura franca con cuatro variantes, sin problemas de compactación y concentraciones elevadas de N inorgánico (N-NO3 + N-NH4) y fósforo extractable. El CP determinó que el N y P del suelo se relacionan con el contenido de proteínas en los cladodios, y presentan una relación antagonista con el pH y la salinidad del suelo. El MEE demostró que la optimización de los niveles de K podría mejorar la calidad proteica de los cladodios, mientras que un control adecuado de Zn y de los carbonatos en el suelo evita efectos adversos sobre el contenido de fibra. Las propiedades físicas y químicas de los suelos evaluados tienen un efecto significativo sobre las características nutrimentales de los cladodios de nopal variedad Milpa Alta, particularmente en las concentraciones de micronutrientes (Zn, Fe y Cu) relacionados con la calidad comercial del producto.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract In order to analyze the effect of soil physical and chemical properties on the nutritional status of nopal-vegetable cladodes (Opuntia ficus-indica (L.) Mill.) variety Milpa Alta, soil and cladode samples were collected in four Family Production Units (UPF) in Milpa Alta, Mexico City. To determine the relationship between the results of the proximal analysis (protein, ethereal extract, ash, dietary fiber and carbohydrates) of the cladodes and the edaphic conditions of the evaluated UPFs, a multivariate analysis by principal components (PC) was performed; in addition to a Spearman correlation analysis, (P &lt;0.05) and a structural equation model (SEM). The physical and chemical analysis of the soils indicated a loam texture with four variants, no compaction problems and high concentrations of inorganic N (N-NO3 + N-NH4) and extractable phosphorus. The CP determined that soil N and P are related to protein content in cladodes, and present an antagonistic relationship with soil pH and salinity. The SEM showed that optimizing K levels could improve the protein quality of cladodes, while adequate control of Zn and soil carbonates avoids adverse effects on fiber content. The physical and chemical properties of the soils evaluated have a significant effect on the nutritional characteristics of nopal cladodes the Milpa Alta variety, particularly in the concentrations of micronutrients (Zn, Fe and Cu) related to the commercial quality of the product.]]></p></abstract>
