<self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&amp;pid=S0188-88972022000300341&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&amp;pid=S0188-88972022000300341&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_pdf&amp;pid=S0188-88972022000300341&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen  Antecedentes:  La agricultura orgánica está basada en la utilización óptima de los recursos naturales, lo cual ayuda a incrementar la actividad biológica del suelo de forma natural sin utilizar compuestos químicos que pueden alterar el suelo, los cultivos y a los mantos acuíferos. Algunas macroalgas tienen el potencial para ser utilizados como bio-estimulantes o acondicionadores de suelos.  Objetivo:  evaluar el potencial de las macroalgas como bio-estimulantes o acondicionadores de suelos, a través de la evaluación del crecimiento de 2 especies de importancia como forrajes o de alimentación y el análisis de la composición del suelo. En este estudio se probaron ocho macroalgas de las costas de Veracruz, México.  Método:  Se añadieron al suelo en forma de fragmentos y de extracto en líquido alrededor de las plantas de Trifolium repens (trébol blanco) y Triticum aestivum (trigo). Se siguió un diseño aleatorio con cuatro réplicas. Se utilizaron dos tratamientos con estimulantes a base de algas, un fertilizante químico y un concentrado de hormonas de crecimiento y un control de agua destilada. El crecimiento se registró cada tercer día.  Resultados:  mostraron que tres de ocho algas promovieron el crecimiento (p&lt;0.05). Para trigo fueron Acantophora spicifera (tratamiento extracto y tratamiento de fragmentos), Ulva lactuca (= Ulva fasciata Delile) y Palisada perforata (tratamiento de fragmentos); para trébol blanco fueron Acantophora spicifera (tratamiento extracto) y Palisada perforata (tratamiento de fragmentos), en comparación con el fertilizante químico (Bayfolan forte) y el control de hormonas vegetal (Agromil V) y agua.  Conclusión:  Dado que las plantas de los tratamientos estimulantes crecieron menos o igual que con los tratamientos algales, existe potencial en las algas estudiadas para su uso como promotores de crecimiento de plantas de cultivos de interés comercial, mejorando la calidad del suelo.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract  Background:  Organic agriculture is based on the optimal use of natural resources, which helps to increase the biological activity of the soil naturally without using chemical compounds that can alter the soil, crops and aquifers. Some macroalgae have the potential to be used as bio-stimulants or soil conditioners.  Goals:  evaluate the potential of macroalgae as bio-stimulants or soil conditioners, through the evaluation of the growth of two species of importance as fodder or feed and the analysis of soil composition. In this study, eight macroalgae from the coasts of Veracruz, Mexico were tested.  Method:  They were added to the soil in the form of fragments and liquid extract around Trifolium repens (white clover) and Triticum aestivum (wheat) plants. A randomized design with four replicates was followed. Two treatments with algae-based stimulants, a chemical fertilizer and a growth hormone concentrate, and a distilled water control were used. Growth was recorded every other day.  Results:  showed that three of eight algae promoted growth (p&lt;0.05). For wheat they were Acantophora spicifera (extract treatment and fragment treatment) and Ulva lactuca (= Ulva fasciata Delile) and Palisada perforata (fragment treatment); for white clover they were Acantophora spicifera (extract treatment) and Palisada perforata (fragment treatment), compared to chemical fertilizer (Bayfolan forte) and plant hormone control (Agromil V) and water.  Conclusions:  since the plants of the stimulant treatments grew less or the same as with the algae treatments, it is concluded that there is potential in the algae studied for using them as promoters for plant growth of crops with commercial interest, improving soil quality.]]></p></abstract>
