Inicialmente, su descubrimiento como fenómeno físico causó un notable interés. Sin embargo, ha sido su aplicación en la química y recientemente en la medicina lo que ha impactado en mayor medida. En un contexto histórico es importante reconocer las contribuciones de los forjadores de esta rama de la espectroscopia, que a la fecha se mantiene a la vanguardia en la generación de conocimiento teórico y experimental.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract Nuclear Magnetic Resonance spectroscopy is a high versatile analysis method which has contributed in different fields of scientific knowledge. Initially, its discovery as physical phenomenon caught notable interest. However, applications in chemistry and recently in medicine have had a deeper impact. In a historic context is important to recognize personal contributions of developers of this area of spectroscopy, which is still now generating theoretical and experimental knowledge.]]></p></abstract>
