<self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&amp;pid=S0187-73802023000400349&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&amp;pid=S0187-73802023000400349&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_pdf&amp;pid=S0187-73802023000400349&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen En los programas de mejoramiento genético y multiplicación de semilla es importante identificar ambientes adecuados de producción, así como el rendimiento, estabilidad, adaptabilidad e interacción genotipo-ambiente adecuadas en los progenitores de híbridos comerciales; sin embargo, en valles altos de la Mesa Central de México existe poca información de los progenitores de híbridos de maíz. El objetivo de esta investigación fue conocer la estabilidad del rendimiento de semilla de nueve líneas endogámicas y tres cruzas simples progenitoras de tres híbridos de maíz adaptados a valles altos de México. El diseño experimental fue de bloques completos al azar con tres repeticiones en cinco ambientes. Las variables evaluadas fueron rendimiento de semilla, días a floración masculina y altura de planta. El análisis estadístico incluyó análisis de varianza combinado, comparación múltiple de medias (Tukey, P &#8804; 0.05) y para la interacción genotipo-ambiente se utilizó el modelo SREG. Los progenitores M-43×M-44, M-55, M-52, M-54 y el híbrido H-66 fueron los más estables en rendimiento. La línea M-48 mostró adaptación específica en el ambiente Celaya (CEL) y la cruza M-47×M-46 en San Luis de la Paz (SLP). Estos resultados indican que SLP y CEL pueden ser localidades alternativas a Coatlinchán, Estado de México, con características aptas para la producción de semilla de progenitores de híbridos de maíz de valles altos de México.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Summary In breeding and seed multiplication programs, it is important to identify suitable production environments, as well as adequate yield, stability, adaptability and genotype-environment interaction in commercial hybrid parents; nevertheless, in the high valleys of the Central Plateau of Mexico, there is little information on the parents of maize hybrids. The aim of this research was to know the seed yield stability of nine inbred lines and three single crosses progenitors of three maize hybrids adapted to the high valleys of Mexico. The experimental design was randomized complete blocks with three replications in five environments. The evaluated traits were seed yield, days to male flowering and plant height. Statistical analysis included combined analysis of variance, multiple comparison of means (Tukey, P &#8804; 0.05) and for the genotype-environment interaction the SREG model was used. Progenitors M-43×M-44, M-55, M-52, M-54 and hybrid H-66 were the most stable in yield. The M-48 line showed specific adaptation in the Celaya environment (CEL) and the M-47×M-46 cross was specific to San Luis de la Paz (SLP). Results indicate that SLP and CEL can be alternative locations to Coatlinchán, State of Mexico with suitable characteristics for seed production of parents of maize hybrids from high valleys of Mexico.]]></p></abstract>
