El sensor GreenseekerTM determina requerimientos de N, mejora su eficiencia de uso, reduce contaminación e incrementa rentabilidad, pero el algoritmo utilizado para recomendar dosis de N en la etapa de encañe utiliza valores del índice de Vegetación de Diferencia Normalizada (NDVI) de un área rica en nitrógeno (ARN), cuyo establecimiento intensifica el trabajo y dificulta la transferencia tecnológica debido al tamaño reducido de las unidades productivas; por ello, se generó un algoritmo simplificado que no utiliza ARN, empleando el índice de estimación de biomasa por día (INSEY), estimado con el NDVI de 23 lotes fertilizados con dosis de N a la siembra (DFNI) de 0 a 180 kg ha-1 y una ARN de 300 kg ha-1. La validación del algoritmo fue en un ensayo de seis variedades de trigo fertilizadas a la siembra con 0, 46, 69, 92, 115 y 138 kg ha-1 de N y complementadas con las cantidades requeridas en la etapa de encañe (FNR) calculadas con el algoritmo. La ganancia en rendimiento y la precisión de las recomendaciones se determinó con un ensayo similar, pero sin N complementario. El diseño experimental fue bloques completos al azar en parcelas divididas, en la parcela grande se colocaron las DFNI y en la chica las variedades. Se generó la ecuación DN = 274- (11458 × NDVI/DDS) que estimó cantidades de N para el reabono entre 118 y 69 kg ha-1 para complementar las dosis de 46 a 138 kg ha-1 aplicados en la siembra. El rendimiento promedio fue de 7.5 t ha-1, mayor que el promedio regional (5.5 t ha-1) obtenido con hasta 350 kg ha-1 de N.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Summary Excessive applications of nitrogenous fertilizer (N) are common in the Bajío, the second productive region of Mexico. The GreenseekerTM sensor determines N requirements, improves its use efficiency, reduces pollution and increases profitability, but the algorithm used to recommend N doses at the stem elongation stage uses values of the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) of an area rich in nitrogen (ARN), whose establishment intensifies work and hinders technology transfer due to the small size of the production units; for this reason, a simplified algorithm that does not use ARN was generated using the biomass estimation index per day (INSEY) estimated with the NDVI of 23 plots fertilized at sowing with doses of N (DFNI) from 0 to 180 kg ha-1 plus an ARN of 300 kg ha-1. The validation of the algorithm was in a trial of six varieties of wheat fertilized at sowing with 0, 46, 69, 92, 115 and 138 kg ha-1 of N and supplemented with the amounts required at the stem elongation stage (FNR) calculated with the algorithm. The gain in yield and the accuracy of recommendations were determined with a similar trial, but without complementary N. The experimental design was randomized complete blocks in split plots, DFNI were placed in the whole plot and varieties in the split plot. The equation DN = 274 - (11458 × NDVI/DDS) was generated, which estimated amounts of N for re-fertilization between 118 and 69 kg ha-1 to complement the doses of 46 to 138 kg ha-1 applied at sowing.
