En México la producción e importancia del cultivo de fresa incrementa anualmente, al igual que los problemas de desertificación. Lo anterior afecta al cultivo de fresa por ser sensible al estrés hídrico causando daños en productividad y calidad. Por ende, se evalúan tres bioestimulantes con efecto antiestresante hídrico: ácido salicílico 0.125µM L-1 (AS), ácido glutámico 5g L-1 (Glu) y cisteína 50 mg L-1 (Cys) aplicándolos quincenalmente a plantas de fresa con 3 diferentes regímenes de riego: dos con riego (15 y 30 días respectivamente) y estrés (al tener -10 bares de potencial hídrico se restablece el riego y así cíclicamente); y un riego sin estrés. Los parámetros evaluados fueron peso y diámetro de fruto, °Brix, capacidad antioxidante por el método DPPH, compuestos fenólicos, prolina, vitamina C y acidez total titulable. El bioestimulante que favoreció el peso del fruto en cada régimen de riego fue: regular + Glu, 15 días + AS y 30 días + Cys. El diámetro incrementó por el tratamiento Glu tanto en riego regular como por 30 días, y el tratamiento AS favoreció al régimen de 15 días. La calidad nutracéutica aumentó por el régimen de riego de 15 días, en los parámetros de °Brix (21%), capacidad antioxidante (3.5%), compuestos fenólicos (59%) y acidez (250%). En estos dos últimos junto con la vitamina C se vio un efecto por el AS el cual incrementó la concentración de estos tres compuestos. Los compuestos fenólicos se incrementaron un 67% por la acción del AS, la vitamina C un 32% y la acidez titulable, es decir, el ácido ascórbico fue 215 veces superior al testigo. La prolina no varió entre tratamientos.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Summary: The limited water resources problematics affects at a global level both social activities and agricultural- In Mexico, the production and importance of strawberry crop is increasing annually, as well as the problems of desertification. This affect strawberry cultivation because it is sensitive to water stress, which causes damage in productivity quality. Therefore, three biostimulants with an anti-water stress effect are evaluated: salicylic acid 0.125 &#956;M L-1 (AS), glutamic acid 5 g L-1 (Glu) and cysteine 50 mg L-1 (Cys) applying them biweekly to strawberry plants with 3 different irrigation regimes, two with irrigation (15 and 30 days respectively) and stress (having -10 bars of water potential, irrigation is restored and so cyclically); and stress-free watering. The parameters evaluated were fruit weight and diameter, °Brix, antioxidant capacity by the DPPH method, phenolic compounds, proline, vitamin C and titratable total acidity. The biostimulant that favored fruit weight in each irrigation regime was regular + Glu, 15 days + AS and 30 days + Cys. The diameter increased due to the Glu treatment both in the regular irrigation regime and for 30 days, and the AS treatment favored the 15-day regime. Nutraceutical quality was increased by 15-day irrigation regime, in the parameters °Brix (21%), antioxidant capacity (3.5%), phenolic compounds (59%) and acidity (2.5 times more). In the latter two, together with vitamin C, an effect was seen by AS which increased the concentration of these three compounds. Phenolic compounds were increased by 67% by the action of AS, vitamin C by 32% and titratable acidity or ascorbic acid was 2.15 times higher than the control. Proline did not vary between treatments.]]></p></abstract>
