Nesta pesquisa, tem-se como objetivo geral investigar sobre o uso das Tecnologias da Informação e Comunicação (TIC) pelos membros da Aldeia Kaingang Três Soitas, para o acesso à informação. A Aldeia está localizada na cidade de Santa Maria-RS. A metodologia adotada foi a pesquisa descritiva e exploratória, desenvolvida a partir da pesquisa bibliográfica e documental, que visa um maior conhecimento sobre a temática dos povos indígenas e os desafios do acesso às TIC. A análise dos resultados permitiu identificar as diferentes formas de uso das tecnologias digitais, nas quais foram apontadas como o avanço da tecnologia afeta o cotidiano do povo indígena Kaingang. A conclusão constatou que as tecnologias digitais são utilizadas como prática pedagógica muito presentes no cotidiano da escola, e como instrumento de luta pela efetivação dos direitos indígenas e de divulgação da sua cultura, pois, por meio das TIC, as próprias comunidades indígenas podem se expressar e contar a sua história, além de preservar sua memória e identidade, respeitando sua diversidade.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[RESUMEN Al investigar la tecnología digital y los pueblos indígenas Kaingang, se pudo comprender la importancia de promover mecanismos para dar acceso y visibilidad a la documentación (técnica y científica) de los pueblos originarios. En esta investigación, el objetivo general es investigar el uso de las Tecnologías de la Información y la Comunicación (TIC) por parte de los integrantes de Aldeia Kaingang Três Soitas, para el acceso a la información. La Villa está ubicada en la ciudad de Santa Maria-RS. La metodología adoptada fue una investigación descriptiva y exploratoria, desarrollada a partir de una investigación bibliográfica y documental que apunta a un mayor conocimiento sobre la temática de los pueblos indígenas y los desafíos del acceso a las TIC. El análisis de los resultados permitió identificar las diferentes formas de uso de las tecnologías digitales, en las que se señaló cómo el avance de la tecnología afecta la vida cotidiana del pueblo indígena Kaingang. La conclusión encontró que las tecnologías digitales son utilizadas como una práctica pedagógica muy presente en el día a día de la escuela, y también como un instrumento de lucha por la realización de los derechos indígenas y la difusión de su cultura, porque a través de las TIC, las propias comunidades indígenas puedan expresarse y contar su historia, además de preservar su memoria e identidad, respetando su diversidad.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT When researching digital technology and the Kaingang indigenous peoples, it was possible to understand the importance of promoting mechanisms to provide access and visibility to the documentation (technical and scientific) of the original peoples. In this research, the general objective is to investigate the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) by members of Aldeia Kaingang Três Soitas, to access information. The Village is located in the city of Santa Maria-RS. The methodology adopted was descriptive and exploratory research, developed from bibliographic and documentary research, which aims to gain greater knowledge on the topic of indigenous peoples and the challenges of access to TICs. The analysis of the results made it possible to identify the different ways of using digital technologies, which highlighted how the advancement of technology affects the daily lives of the Kaingang indigenous people. The conclusion found that digital technologies are used as a pedagogical practice that is very present in the daily life of the school, and also as an instrument to fight for the realization of indigenous rights and the dissemination of their culture, as through TICs the indigenous communities themselves can express themselves and tell its history, in addition to preserving its memory and identity, respecting its diversity.]]></p></abstract>
