Primero, se describe lo que Popkewitz llama &#8220;epistemología social&#8221; y se destacan sus fortalezas. En segundo lugar, se caracteriza la reconstrucción de un punto de vista, que se denominará &#8220;de la negatividad&#8221;, en su argumentación. En tercer lugar, se analizan ciertas aristas de tal punto de vista, a partir de dos vértigos argumentales en el trabajo de Popkewitz: 1) de lo negativo; y 2) descriptivo. Se concluye con algunas reflexiones acerca de la lectura presentada, las cuales advierten en contra de hacer aplicaciones domesticadas y acríticas de los planteamientos del profesor estadounidense.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract The present paper is a critical reading of the theoretical stance of the American researcher Thomas Popkewitz, establishing both its scope and its limits from the perspective of Carlos Pereda&#8217;s phenomenology of the argumentative experience. First, we define what Popkewitz calls &#8220;social epistemology&#8221; while highlighting its strengths. Secondly, we describe the reconstruction of a point of view which we have called &#8220;of negativity&#8221;. Thirdly, certain edges of this point of view are analyzed, based on two argumentative vertigos in Popkewitz's work: 1) the negative; and 2) the descriptive. The essay concludes with some reflections about the reading, which warn against making domesticated and uncritical applications of the approaches of the American professor.]]></p></abstract>
