La tesis a desarrollar es que la desconexión de la razón de sus dimensiones éticas y espirituales ha generado un vacío simbólico que facilita la aparición de estructuras totalitarias. La investigación recurre a un enfoque hermenéutico y crítico, en diálogo con autores como Horkheimer, Adorno, Hadot y Taylor, para mostrar cómo la racionalidad moderna ha perdido su potencial emancipador al absolutizarse como cálculo técnico-instrumental y dominio de lo real. Frente a este escenario, se propone que la razón poética, entendida como una forma de conocimiento sensible, simbólica y contemplativa, puede restituir una relación ética y reverente con la naturaleza y la interioridad humana. El texto concluye que recuperar esta dimensión poética no sólo representa un gesto estético o romántico, sino una vía urgente para resistir las patologías del pensamiento moderno y evitar su degeneración en estructuras de poder opresivas.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract This article presents a critical analysis of the philosophical, existential, and political consequences of modern instrumental reason, using The Disciples at Sais by Novalis as a point of departure. It argues that the detachment of reason from its ethical and spiritual dimensions has created a symbolic void that enables the rise of totalitarian structures. The research adopts a hermeneutic and critical approach, engaging in dialogue with authors such as Horkheimer, Adorno, Hadot, and Taylor, to demonstrate how modern rationality has lost its emancipatory potential by becoming absolute as technical-instrumental calculation and a tool for controlling reality. In response to this scenario, poetic reason is proposed as a symbolic, contemplative, and sensitive form of knowledge capable of restoring an ethical and reverent relationship with nature and human interiority. The article concludes that recovering this poetic dimension is not merely a romantic or aesthetic gesture, but an urgent philosophical path to resist the pathologies of modern reason and its degeneration into oppressive structures of power.]]></p></abstract>
