<self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&amp;pid=S2663-39812025000100121&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&amp;pid=S2663-39812025000100121&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_pdf&amp;pid=S2663-39812025000100121&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen La técnica de Interferometría Diferencial Satelital de Radar de Apertura Sintética (DInSAR por sus siglas en inglés) ha sido usada por más de 20 años por profesionales de las geociencias, para detectar cambios en la topografía terrestre a través del tiempo, permitiendo realizar seguimiento a la cinemática de fallas activas, y de otras deformaciones del suelo como consecuencia de actividades antrópicas y/o naturales. El objetivo de este estudio se basó en el dominio de metodologías de procesamiento de datos SAR e interpretación de los resultados obtenidos a través de la aplicación de la técnica PSInSAR Retrodispersores Persistentes Interferométricos (Persistent Scatterers Interferometry -PSI); lográndose obtener estimación de desplazamientos corticales en la dirección de vista del sensor (Line Of Sight -LOS). Se utilizaron conjuntos de datos de imágenes SAR SENTINEL 1 del Programa Europeo Copernicus, en banda C, con un rango de 5,4 cm de longitud de onda, para los años 2018-2019. Los resultados obtenidos en la COLM Costa Oriental del Lago de Maracaibo, soportan la idea de un proceso de deformación de levantamiento y hundimiento (uplift y subsidence) en las ciudades costeras en el este del Lago que van desde 45 mm a-1 a -40 mm a-1, coherentes con estudios de Puntos de Control Terrestres-PCT previos en la zona que indicaron valores de de levantamiento de 5 cm para Ciudad Ojeda y, de subsidencia de -3 cm en Lagunillas.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract The Synthetic Aperture Radar Satellite Differential Interferometry (DInSAR) technique has been used for more than two decades to detect changes in the Earth&#8217;s topography over time, allowing the kinematics of active faults and other ground deformations as a result of anthropic and/or natural activities to be monitored. The objective of this study was based on the mastery of SAR data processing methodologies and interpretation of the results obtained through the application of the PSInSAR Persistent Scatterers Interferometry (PSI) technique; achieving an estimation of crustal displacements in the direction of view of the sensor (Line Of Sight -LOS). SENTINEL 1 SAR image datasets from the European Copernicus Programme, in C-band, with a wavelength range of 5.4 cm, were used for 2018-2019. The results obtained on the East Coast of Lake Maracaibo (COLM) support the idea of a process of uplift and subsidence in coastal cities in the east of the Lake ranging from 45 mm a-1 to -40 mm a-1, consistent with previous GPS (Global Positioning System) studies of Ground Control Points-GCP in the area that indicated uplift values of 5 cm for Ciudad Ojeda and, for subsidence values of -3 cm in Lagunillas.]]></p></abstract>
