Para lograr tales objetivos, diseñamos estudios de caso múltiples en tres escuelas en Santiago de Chile, una de hombres, otra de mujeres y una mixta. Las prácticas de investigación se orientaron a partir de un enfoque etnográfico que incorpora entrevistas en profundidad a distintos actores de la comunidad educativa. Los resultados producidos interrelacionadamente en los tres casos muestran cómo los discursos específicos de la heteronormatividad actúan en la producción de relaciones de poder o relaciones estratégicas que están en la base de lo que se entiende por &#8220;diferencias de género&#8221; en el contexto escolar.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT: The purpose of this research is to explore the production of gender differences in the school context, particularly in natural science classes, by analyzing the power relations embedded in discursive and material mechanisms that establish gender norms for the production of differences, asymmetries and discriminatory practices. To achieve the objectives, we designed multiple case studies at three schools in Santiago de Chile, one for boys, another for girls and a mixed one. Research practices were guided by an ethnographic approach that incorporates in-depth interviews with actors from the educational community. The interrelated results produced in the three cases show how the specific discourses of heteronormativity act in the creation of the power relations or strategic relations underpinning what is understood by &#8220;gender differences&#8221; in the school context.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="pt"><p><![CDATA[RESUMO: O objetivo desta pesquisa é abordar a produção de diferenças de gênero no contexto escolar, particularmente nas aulas de ciências naturais, analisando as relações de poder inscritas nos mecanismos discursivos e materiais que estabelecem a norma de gênero para a produção das diferenças, assimetrias e práticas de discriminação. Para atender aos objetivos, projetamos estudos de caso múltiplos em três escolas de Santiago do Chile, uma para homens, outra para mulheres e uma mista. As práticas de pesquisa foram orientadas a partir de uma abordagem etnográfica que incorpora entrevistas em profundidade com diferentes atores da comunidade educativa.
