Su clasificación y potencial de malignidad dependen del conducto involucrado, siendo este cercano al 80% en las dependientes del conducto principal (MD-NMPI). Las directrices del consenso internacional indican que las MD-NMPI deben ser resecadas por pancreaticoduodenectomía, pancreatectomía total o parcial con disección linfática en pacientes aptos, ya que la recurrencia oscila entre el 65 y el 70% en el páncreas residual.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract Pancreatic intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasm (IPMN) is one of the pancreatic neoplasms that represents an intraductal proliferation of mucin-producing neoplastic cells distributed in papillary projections. Its classification and potential for malignancy depend on the duct involved, being this close to 80% in those dependent on the main duct (MD-IPMN). The international consensus guidelines indicate that MD-IPMN should be resected by pancreaticoduodenectomy, total or partial pancreatectomy with lymphatic dissection in eligible patients, since the recurrence ranges from 65 to 70% in the residual pancreas.]]></p></abstract>
