Se midió la producción de miel de 9 169 colonias, se seleccionaron 352, las que produjeron más de 25 kg. La producción de miel de estas colonias fue de 40.8±6.7 kg. En la región de montañas la temperatura se correlacionó de forma moderada negativa con la producción de miel (r = -0.448, P &lt; 0.001) y positiva moderada con la precipitación pluvial (r = 0.448, P &lt; 0.001). En la región valles la altitud presentó correlación negativa baja con la producción de miel (r = -0.121, P&lt; 0.03), positiva baja con la temperatura (r = 0.359, P &lt; 0.001) y correlación moderada con la precipitación pluvial (r = 0.630, P &lt; 0.001). Se concluye que la producción de miel, las precipitaciones y la temperatura ambiental están relacionadas estadísticamente en el sur de Jalisco.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract The objective of the study was to relate the honey production of the selected Apis mellifera colonies with geographic-environmental parameters of southern Jalisco. The honey production of 9,169 colonies was measured, 352 were selected, those that produced more than 25 kg. The honey production of these colonies was 40.8±6.7 kg. In the mountain region, temperature was moderately negatively correlated with honey production (r = -0.448, P &lt; 0.001) and moderately positive with rainfall (r = 0.448, P &lt; 0.001).
