<self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&amp;pid=S2007-28722015000300119&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&amp;pid=S2007-28722015000300119&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_pdf&amp;pid=S2007-28722015000300119&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[El artículo reporta los hallazgos encontrados en torno a las creencias de profesores-investigadores sobre el trabajo colaborativo en la investigación del área de enseñanza de lenguas extranjeras en la Universidad Autónoma de Baja California, las cuales fueron identificadas y analizadas en una investigación de mayor envergadura que tuvo como objetivo estudiar los factores que favorecen y/o inhiben el desarrollo de la investigación en el área de las lenguas extranjeras en tres universidades mexicanas, con el fin de favorecer el desarrollo institucional de la misma. Se trata de un estudio cuantitativo-descriptivo basado en un cuestionario, en el cual se identificó que los profesores creen que la investigación colaborativa favorece la cantidad y calidad de su producción académica, así como su desarrollo profesional en un ambiente que si bien contempla esta forma de trabajar no proporciona las condicionas idóneas para el florecimiento de esta actividad.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="pt"><p><![CDATA[O artigo informa os achados em torno das crenças dos professores-investigadores sobre o trabalho colaborativo na pesquisa da área de ensino de línguas estrangeiras na Universidade Autônoma de Baja California, as quais foram identificadas e analisadas numa pesquisa mais ampla que teve como alvo estudar os fatores que favorecem e/ou inibem o desenvolvimento da investigação na área de línguas estrangeiras em três universidades mexicanas, a fim de favorecer o desenvolvimento institucional da pesquisa. Trata-se de um estudo quantitativo-descritivo baseado num questionário, onde foi identificado que os professores acreditam que a investigação colaborativa favorece a quantidade e qualidade da sua produção académica, bem como seu desenvolvimento profissional num ambiente que contempla essa forma de trabalhar, porém não fornece as condições idóneas para florescimento dessa atividade.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[This article reports the findings related to the beliefs of professors-researchers about collaborative work in research in the area of foreign language teaching at the Autonomous University of Baja California. It was identified and analyzed in a research of greater magnitude, targeted at studying the factors that favor and/or inhibit the development of research in foreign languages in three Mexican universities in order to favor its institutional development. The study is quantitative-descriptive based on a questionnaire, which identified that professors believe that collaborative research furthers the amount and quality of academic production, as well as professional development in an environment that in spite of considering this type of work it fails to offer suitable conditions for this activity to flourish.]]></p></abstract>
