Se recopilaron datos de temperatura, velocidad del viento, humedad relativa, radiación solar y presión atmosférica, así como la concentración diaria de partículas PM2.5 a través de una red de diez sensores de monitoreo de calidad del aire y dos observatorios atmosféricos, distribuidos por toda la ciudad, durante 2024. Primero se analizaron los datos de la red de sensores, encontrando que el coeficiente Pearson mostró una correlación alta o moderada entre la concentración registrada por los sensores, sin importar ubicación, siendo la Zona Oeste la que presentó más días con baja calidad del aire. Posteriormente se analizaron los datos de los observatorios con la finalidad de relacionar las condiciones meteorológicas con las concentraciones de PM2.5 en promedio diario y según el comportamiento de los PM2.5 por hora, se encontró que los factores meteorológicos no presentan una relación significativa con la concentración de PM2.5, cuando se comparan con el promedio diario; sin embargo, cuando se observó la concentración a lo largo del día, se localizó la relación con los parámetros atmosféricos.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract The present work studied the relationship of meteorological conditions with the concentration of particulate matter with a diameter equal to or less than 2.5 &#956;m (PM2.5) in the city of Saltillo, Coahuila, intending to identify the areas and times with the highest levels of pollution. Data on temperature, wind speed, relative humidity, solar radiation, and atmospheric pressure, as well as the daily concentration of PM2.5 particles, were collected through a network of ten air quality monitoring sensors and two atmospheric observatories, distributed throughout the city, during 2024. First, the data from the sensor network were analyzed, revealing that the Pearson coefficient showed a high or moderate correlation between the concentration recorded by the sensors, regardless of location, and that the West Zone presented the most days with low air quality. Subsequently, the data from the observatories were analyzed to relate meteorological conditions with daily average PM2.5 concentrations, and according to the behavior of PM2.5 per hour, it was found that meteorological factors do not present a significant relationship with PM2.5 concentration, when compared with the daily average; nevertheless, when the concentration throughout the day was observed, a relationship with atmospheric parameters was found.]]></p></abstract>
