<self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&amp;pid=S2007-09342024000800103&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&amp;pid=S2007-09342024000800103&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_pdf&amp;pid=S2007-09342024000800103&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen El objetivo del trabajo fue evaluar el rendimiento, componentes de rendimiento y atributos morfológicos de cuatro genotipos criollos de chile poblano a campo abierto en el sureste de Coahuila, el genotipo uno y dos (G1 y G2) recolectados del estado Puebla, el genotipo tres (G3) de Zacatecas y el Genotipo 4 (G4) de Jalisco, a fin de identificar su potencial para el mejoramiento genético. El diseño experimental y modelo estadístico utilizado fue completamente al azar con cuatro repeticiones cada uno y el Anova al p&#8804; 0.05. Los resultados indican diferencias significativas en la mayoría de las variables evaluadas, a excepción de rendimiento y ancho en punta de fruto. En número de frutos por planta, el mejor desempeño se observó en los genotipos dos y uno, con 10.25 y 7.92 frutos por planta respectivamente, en peso promedio y longitud de fruto, resultó superior el genotipo tres con 104.54 g y 15.05 cm respectivamente. En ancho de base, ancho en centro de fruto y altura de planta, el mejor desempeño lo mostraron los genotipos dos y tres. Los resultados obtenidos, suponen la existencia de variabilidad genética en los genotipos, y permitió identificar al genotipo tres como de mejor desempeño y potencial genético para su comercialización en fresco, por la cantidad de frutos por planta fueron el genotipo dos y uno. Debido a la conservación de las características en fruto deshidratado, apariencia visual, color y consistencia, se infiere que los genotipos uno y dos son de mayor potencial para su comercialización como fruto deshidratado &#8216;ancho&#8217;.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract The present study aimed to evaluate the yield, yield components, and morphological attributes of four landrace genotypes of poblano chili in the open field in southeastern Coahuila, genotypes one and two (G1 and G2) collected from the state of Puebla, genotype three (G3) from Zacatecas, and genotype 4 (G4) from Jalisco, in order to identify their potential for genetic improvement. The experimental design and statistical model used was completely randomized with four replications each and the Anova at p&#8804; 0.05. The results indicate significant differences in most of the variables evaluated, except for yield and fruit tip width. In number of fruits per plant, the best performance was observed in genotypes two and one, with 10.25 and 7.92 fruits per plant, respectively; in average fruit weight and fruit length, genotype three was superior, with 104.54 g and 15.05 cm, respectively. In base width, fruit center width, and plant height, the best performance was shown by genotypes two and three. The results obtained assume the existence of genetic variability in the genotypes and allowed us to identify genotype three as having the best performance and genetic potential for fresh marketing; by the number of fruits per plant, genotypes two and one had the best performance. Due to the conservation of the characteristics in dehydrated fruit, visual appearance, color and consistency, it is inferred that genotypes one and two have greater potential for marketing as dehydrated fruit &#8216;ancho&#8217;.]]></p></abstract>
