<self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&amp;pid=S2007-09342019000300713&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&amp;pid=S2007-09342019000300713&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_pdf&amp;pid=S2007-09342019000300713&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen Este estudio se realizó en el ciclo primavera-verano de 2014 en San Mateo Atenco, estado de México, México, con el objetivo de estimar los componentes de varianza y la heredabilidad en 39 cultivares de haba e identificar material genético sobresaliente a partir de caracteres cuantitativos y cualitativos. Se utilizó un diseño experimental de bloques completos al azar con tres repeticiones. Los caracteres cualitativos se describieron de acuerdo con la guía técnica para la descripción varietal en haba del servicio nacional de inspección y certificación de semillas (SNICS). Los resultados mostraron significancia estadística (p&#8804; 0.01) entre cultivares para cada carácter cuantitativo. La heredabilidad en sentido amplio varío de 30.7 a 99%. El mayor rendimiento de semilla se registró en las colectas identificadas como T8 (4.16 t ha-1), T5 (3.9 t ha-1) y T 27 (3.8 t ha-1). El análisis de componentes principales explicó 65.2% de la variación total original y en éste se observó que el rendimiento se correlacionó positiva y significativamente con número de vainas, peso de vaina y peso de semilla. En el análisis de conglomerados se formaron cuatro grupos, de los cuales el tercero de éstos incluyó a las poblaciones de haba con los mejores descriptores agronómicos evaluados.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract This study was conducted in the spring-summer 2014 cycle in San Mateo Atenco, Mexico State, Mexico, with the objective of estimating variance and heritability components in 39 faba bean cultivars and identifying outstanding genetic material from quantitative traits and qualitative. A randomized complete block design with three replications was used. The qualitative characteristics were described according to the technical guide for the varietal description in faba bean of the national service of inspection and certification of seeds (SNICS). The results showed statistical significance (p&#8804; 0.01) among cultivars for each quantitative characteristic. Heritability in the broad sense varied from 30.7 to 99%. The highest seed yield was recorded in the collections identified as T8 (4.16 t ha-1), T5 (3.9 t ha-1) and T 27 (3.8 t ha-1). The principal components analysis explained 65.2% of the original total variation and in this it was observed that the yield correlated positively and significantly with number of pods, pod weight and seed weight. In the cluster analysis four groups were formed, of which the third of these included the faba bean populations with the best agronomic descriptors evaluated.]]></p></abstract>
